No. If you want to add a plaque, there are many options to choose from for size, color, and type of wood.

Yes, this can be arranged for an extra cost.
I think my hide is ruined or spoiled. will i still be able to use it for a mount?
If the cape is ruined, it is likely not salvageable, but a replacement cape can typically be obtained for an extra cost.
Is Shipping included in my mount?
No, shipping is not included with your mount. However, we can connect you with a few transport companies that specialize in handling taxidermy. They will pick up directly from our shop for your convenience.
WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU MOUNT?
We accept all big game animals, including deer (whitetail and mule), elk, antelope, moose, bear, bison, sheep, etc., as well as all exotics and African species.
Currently, we are not accepting any animals for lifesize mounts.

when will my mount be done?
Estimated completion dates are just that: estimates. Completion time is subject to seasonal demand and many other factors. Current turnaround time is anywhere from 6-12 months depending on the type of service. If the season demand is higher, this can increase to 18 months in some cases.

I SHOT MY ANIMAL, NOW WHAT?
1. Refer to Field Care for instructions on how to cape your animal.
2. Keep it as cold as possible. The price of caping, salting, and fleshing is included in the cost of the mount. Do NOT salt it yourself.

WHAT IF I HAVE A TAXIDERMIST BACK HOME?
I can cape, flesh, turn and salt your hide to get it ready for your taxidermist and then get it shipped to wherever your taxidermist is located. If your home state requires skull boiling to prevent Chronic Wasting Disease, we perform that service.
WHAT TYPE OF options do i have for my mount?
For shoulder mounts, you can chose right or left turns and poses such as sneak, semi-sneak, alert upright, or straight. Your elk can be bugling. If you are having trouble making a decision, I can help select a pose that will highlight your animal's great characteristics.
Your bear can be open mouth or closed mouth.
I can add habitat, rock work, plaques, etc.
Detachable antlers can allow for less expensive shipping costs and easier hanging (recommended for moose and larger elk).

Shoulder mounts, rugs, and tans require a NONREFUNDABLE 50% deposit. No work will be accepted into the production schedule without the deposit. The remaining 50% balance will be due once the animal is ready to be put into the mounting rotation. Customers will be notified when the remaining balance is due.
Shipping is NOT included.
European and horn mounts are paid in full at the time the animal is dropped off.
I accept all major credit cards, cash, check, Venmo, and PayPal. Cash/check and Venmo/PayPal are preferred to avoid credit card fees.

now that i have my mount home, how do i care for it?
You will be supplied with a hanger for your mount. Make sure you hit a stud.
Keep the animal out of the sunlight, as the sunlight will fade the animal over time. Keep it away from direct heat.
If your mount needs dusted/cleaned, lightly spray with Windex and gently wipe with a dry, gentle cloth in the direction of the hair.
