TERMS OF SERVICE
🧾 LIABILITY & LEGALITY
Owl Ridge Taxidermy assumes no responsibility for the legality of harvest of any specimen. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, the customer affirms that all specimens were taken legally and in full compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations. All required licenses, tags, and identification must be presented at the time of check-in.
Due to factors beyond the taxidermist’s control, including but not limited to field care and tanning (whether performed in-house or by third parties), all work is performed at the customer’s risk. Owl Ridge Taxidermy is not responsible for damage, loss, or deterioration of specimens resulting from field preparation, hidden conditions, or the tanning process.
Owl Ridge Taxidermy shall not be held liable for loss or damage due to theft, fire, vandalism, flood, third-party actions, acts of God, or any other circumstances beyond our control.
💵 PAYMENT
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of drop-off for all rugs, tans, and mounts. Work will not be accepted into the production schedule without a deposit.
The remaining balance is due prior to the start of mounting work. Work will not proceed until payment is received.
Invoices not paid within 14 days are subject to a late fee. Owl Ridge Taxidermy reserves the right to pause work on any project with an outstanding balance.
Returned checks will incur a $30 fee. Owl Ridge Taxidermy reserves the right to retain possession of all items until full payment has been received and cleared.
If a customer requests a delay in work, Owl Ridge Taxidermy reserves the right to adjust pricing based on current rates at the time work resumes.
⏱️ TURNAROUND TIME
Completion times vary based on seasonal demand and other factors. Estimated turnaround time is 6–12 months, but may extend up to 18 months depending on workload and species. All timelines are estimates and not guarantees.
📵 STATUS UPDATES
Due to high volume, Owl Ridge Taxidermy does not provide routine individual status updates. Customers will be contacted when their project reaches key milestones or is ready for pickup.
🧩 SPECIAL REQUESTS
Requests to coordinate completion of items from multiple parties must be submitted via email as early as possible.
Out-of-state customers planning to pick up items during a future trip must notify Owl Ridge Taxidermy in advance so scheduling accommodations can be considered.
📦 COMPLETION, PICKUP & STORAGE
Customers will be notified when their mount is complete.
Pickup is required within 21 days of notification.
Due to limited storage space, items not picked up within this timeframe will incur a $50 per week storage fee.
Storage fees will be added to the customer’s invoice and must be paid prior to release of the mount.
Shipping is not included; however, Owl Ridge Taxidermy can assist in coordinating transport upon request.
Any item not picked up within a reasonable extended period may be considered abandoned and become the property of Owl Ridge Taxidermy.
